Such a cool store with so many unique foods but of all things we only needed hamburger. Back home we buy cows and have them processed to our specification so I'm judging the hamburger off that. Not the best mix but quite good. The price reflected getting it on the coast. Folks working were super accommodating. Don't skip the hot case. Boudin balls were a bit dry but packed some great flavor.

We bought some cajun stuffed chicken here when they first opened and meant to go back and forgot. We came last week and had the chicken and sausage gumbo plate lunch. Should have taken a picture. It was excellent....we have lived in Louisiana and even by that standard it was excellent. So today we were in the vicinity and stopped in for the plate lunch...shrimp ettoufe. And a beef po boy. It was way too much food so in the end we shared the ettoufe and the po boy is going home. I have to tell you, that shrimp ettoufe is off the hook. There were a number of people working on their cajun meats both times we were here and they do a good catering business. There is very little seating so most people get their lunch to go. We sat at some picnic tables outside. If you have not discovered this place you are missing out. They do boiled shrimp and in season crawfish plus BBQ all of which we want to try. Check out their facebook....they update it all the time.
